Ever Wonder Who Figures out those Mileage Signs?

We do.


On our hike up the Bubbs Creek Trail in Kings Canyon, we came across this pair of signs, which were on posts directly across the trail from each other. One sign says that it's 2.2 miles to Roads End via the Bailey Bridge. The other sign says it's 2.0









We decided to take the OTHER trail to Roads End, avoiding the Bailey Bridge, the notoriously sandy trail, and the confusion.
