Bears!

We were up at our cabin earlier this week, and I had time to download and check out all the photos from our wildlife cameras.


In general, these cameras do a great job capturing the countless deer who use the deer trail behind our cabin, and shuffle those photos in with an assortment of local dogs, cats, people, and workmen who occasionally stop by for one reason or another.


But every once in a while, we get a real treat. We've seen plenty of raccoons and turkeys, but also a few foxes and, just once, on Christmas Eve many years ago, a young bear scampering through a snowstorm.

Then, just a couple of weeks ago, we got a real bear visitor:

Handsome fellow. I hope he enjoyed touring our neck of the woods.
