Bad News for Bears

With the increase in visitors this year, Yosemite's bear are feeling the pain--literally.

This story in SF Gate tells the tale--a big increase in traffic also meant a big increase in bears being injured or killed by cars. Sad news.

Slow down. The life you save just might be a bear's. And you're in one of the most beautiful places in the world, for God's sake. Stop. Get out of the car. Smell the pines. Spot the climbers. And take it easy on the bears.
