The remains of winter

We're up at our cabin, enjoying the beginning of spring break. The cabin is at 3,800 feet, just at the snow line for many storms, including the current one. We went to bed the to sound of rain, but woke up to this:



Meanwhile, down at the little lake that serves as a swimming hole, the big windstorm of a couple of weeks ago left a massive pine in the water.


Having done a fair bit of trail crew work, that one is going to be a project!
