Badger Pass will be closed to visitor access on April 1st at 5pm. The gate at Chinquapin will be shut and locked at that time. Crews will begin clearing the Glacier Point Road after that point. The road from Chinquapin to Badger Pass will be open to Admin Traffic only, as well as open to bicycle access. The road from Badger Pass to Glacier Point will be closed to all but Road plowing and emergency vehicles.


Meanwhile, in the Tahoe area, the snow level on south facing slopes is about 8,500 feet. That's really high. And it's still only March! Of course, north facing slopes is a whole 'nother question. But if we can find trail that only goes on south facing slopes...
