Lumber!

We loved this story about the C A Thayer, and old lumber schooner at the San Francisco Maritime Museum.


Turns out that the ship needed some repairs, but it's hard to finder the quality and size of lumber she used to carry.


Happily, the U S Forest Service had some huge trees in Washington that were safety hazards, and...problem solved!
