Mother Nature is never completely at rest, and there is no better place to notice this than Yosemite National Park.

Tuolumne Meadows--currenlty closed to highway traffic

In the last few days a huge rockslide has closed the entrance via Highway 140 through Mariposa, although the park now says it is open to one-way traffic when possible. You should certainly add some travel time to your drive for that route.

And the Mist Falls Trail is now closed due to the danger of falling ice. If you've taken this trail, you can imagine how dangerous the conditions must be. If you haven't, take their word for it!

And finally, the hand of man isn't sitting still, either. The park has now announced a reservation system for the summer to manage the crowds.--although the system is not yet in place. Entry will be limited each day, but only until 3 p.m. according to some news reports.

Here's where you can read all about all of these, and more: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
