Happy to Hike in the Sierra

This story about a pair of hikers using bear spray in Glacier National Park reminded us once again how nice it is to hike in the Sierra.

Sure, you can get into trouble in these mountains, but they don't have grizzlies, thunderstorms tend to be modest, and there are fewer dangers in general--especially this time of year, when the rivers are lower and calmer.
