Gone Fishing

I had a couple of days free in the middle of last week, so I decided to go fishing

It had been years since I had gone on a real fishing trip--no other real goal in mind. Usually, I fish in a few odd moments when I have time around camp while we're backpacking.

This trip was glorious. Beautiful weather (a thunderstorm the first day barely sprinkled on me, but gave dramatic clouds and excellent sound effects!)

The scenery was stunning, there were very few other people, and I caught lots of nice fish.

A perfect way to spend two days. I need to do it more often.
