Get out while you can

It's been a hard year to get out and about, with COVID restrictions and so many places closed. But in these trying times, one of the safest places you can be is outside...and far from the rest of humanity. You need to go for a walk.

That's not to say you have to drive to the Sierra to find solitude, or the beauty of nature. We've been doing a lot of walking/hiking around town. It's certainly not epic, but we have putting in some miles, and we've been seeing some beautiful sights, too. This shot was taken from the sidewalk near a freeway exit in our town.

It must be springtime. The poppies are poppin'!
