We've had a few reports of people dying of snakebites this year--a relative rarity that doesn't make getting bitten any nicer. But while we find that most people are worried about wild animals (including humans) when they hit the trail, they should be more worried about white water and getting lost.


Here's an honest appraisal of what you should be concerned about--and what you should try to relax about:
