Wadi rum

I was really looking foward to this part of the adventure, because I'd heard wonderful things about Wadi Rum, and my daughter and I have even considered this area for our next hiking adventure.

The landscape is stunning, with vast sandy deserts and towering rocks in all directions. Plus, there were wonderful petroglyphs, which is always a good thing.

We climbed a sand dune, visited a Bedouin camp, and explored by 4x4, but I also noticed that there were glamping resorts in every spare corner of the desert.

Not exactly far from the madding crowds, although given the lack of tourism while we were here, they were practically empty.


A magical landscape, but maybe not the next wild and solitary adventure location for us. And now it was time to head to Egypt!
