Want to get out into the Sierra, but don't have the time right now?

It's time for a shameless plug for my murder mysteries set in the Sierra Nevada.

Ranger Dan Courtwright and his good friend Sheriff Deputy Cal Healey have wild adventures in the Sierra in their attempts to solve the occasional murder. While each book stands on its own, the main characters are with us from beginning to end, evolving as the books proceed through their adventures:

Danger, Falling Rocks

Bones of the Earth

Holes in the Ground

Granite Gorge

High Sierry Quarry

Grave Concerns

Running Downhil.

Here's what a recent review of the sevventh book in the series, "Grave Concerns," had so say:

"One other appeal of a mystery novel, beyond the puzzle, the setting and the protagonist, is the underlying sense of justice that – almost always – prevails. Wagner combines all these elements for an enthralling read that once again takes you into Dan Courtwright’s world, where the justice of nature reigns. And you don’t have to be the one wearing the backpack."
