Head on a Swivel

We're still thinking about our great trip to Sequoia National Park earlier this month. The weather was nearly perfect, and we found so many places to hike.



Best of all was our hike down along the Sugarbowl Trail and then up through Redwood Canyon. My goodness, there were a lot of giant sequoias in this area. (Thus the name: Sugarbowl was what early loggers called this area, because of the huge stand of mature trees they found.


And as we hiked through the forest, we kept seeing more trees. It got to the point where we found our heads were on a swivel, constantly swinging around to make sure that we didn't miss another of these majestic trees.


Highly recommended.
