If you've read our posts about the back country volunteer work we do, you know that we spend way too much time cleaning up after people and their poop.


Yep, that pristine wilderness is under constant attack by thoughtless knuckleheads who don't do their doo right.


The state of Colorado has decided that the problem is a lack of proper equipment. They're giving away lightweight trowels for free...in the hopes that hikers will use them


I wish I thought that would work--but at least the attention may help spread the message.
