Campgrounds in Yosemite

Yes, some of the closed campgrounds in Yosemite are opening, but the headline on this article from SF Gate misleading. Tuolumne Meadows Campground and Bridalveil Campground, the two largest, are still closed ..



Both of the closed campgrounds are a key part of backpacking plans in Yosemite, as they are the only options for an early start in Tuolumne Meadows or Glacier Point Road.


We hope these will open soon. They've been closed for two years now, and projected to open in August.
