Back in the saddle

After my experience in Desolation Wilderness last weekend, I had a few conversations with my doctor, made a few adjustments, and was anxious to get back out on the trail again.


This time we chose to camp along the Clark Fork of the Stanislaus River, a quiet spot that has a few campgrounds that are usually only full on the weekends.


And for a hike, we thought Disaster Creek sounded good! šŸ˜


The trail starts out steeply for a mile or more, then eases up and continue to climb, eventually offering connections to the PCT and the world beyond. But this day we only covered something more than two miles of climbing. There were trees down, and muddy stretches of the trail, and more flowers in bloom than we could count.


It was a lovely hike, and I had no further problems with any health concerns. That was a relief, and let's me set sights on the rest of the summer.
