Yosemite National Park has officially closed the Four Mile Trail to Glacier Point. It's a steep, sometimes narrow trail up the side of the cliff of the South Rim of Yosemite Valley. In icy conditions, that next step could be your last...


Here's the notice: The Four Mile Trail is closed for the winter at the gate below Union Point. This is a seasonal closure due to snow and ice. Please obey all closures for your safety.


Sad that they feel they have to add that last part...sigh.
