Sonora and Ebbetts Passes are now open

Just in the last couple of days, CalTrans has opened two fo the remaining three passes over the Sierra. Only Tioga Pass, in Yosemite at nearly 10,000 feet, remains closed.

But don't be fooled by the photo below. The passes right now are narrow channels through walls of snow, and any trails near the passes are still buried between many feet of snow.

Still, we're getting closer!
