Fortune Telling

The Mariposa Trail group had a cute gift idea for everyone who attended their work crew party earlier this month. They gave out gift bags, and with each gift came the written fortune from a fortune cookie.

(We'll avoid the long discussion of where fortune cookies originated, and whether they are culturally defensible.)

But with each fortune came an addendum: on the trail.

If your fortune said that you were going to meet a tall, dark stranger...it was going to be on the trail.

If you were going on a long journey...it would be on the trail.

Our two fortunes:

Your patience will be rewarded so don't be too impatient...on the trail.

You will help somebody in a difficult situation...on the trail!
